So onto our new challenge!
Our theme this week as always is
ANYTHING GOES
But as ever we like to make the DT work a little harder and our challenge for them is
Happy New Colour!
We are Challenging ourselves to get out of our comfort zones and use a colour we would not normally pick to colour an image. Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect it and using a colour you wouldn't normally pick can make a huge difference to your work - it could add the vibrancy you've been missing or just add an extra perfect touch you'd otherwise miss so give it a try....We'd love you to try this challenge too so if you do make sure you tell us which one you have chosen!

You have until 12noon (GMT) on Sunday 5th of January to play along – simply follow the theme and add your challenge entry to Mr Linky at the end of this post. We have one change to our rules - you can only enter a maximum of 3 times to make it fair for everyone! The winner will be announced here on the GI blog on Friday 17th of January and will win Graph'It goodies.

Here are our fabulous DT’s creations …

Jane: I chose Yellow as my colour I wouldn't normally use to create a lovely golden coat for the lovely Labradors on my card. I rarely use yellows but  I love the rich gold you can create with the Graph'it markers. I will be sure to use this colour combination again for hair and animals.
Graph'it Markers used:
1250, 3110, 3140

Claire C: I've used the pink greys to colour this gorgeous image from the Polkadoodles CD Frederika, they give a lovely warm grey/brown shade:

Colours used:
Dress: 6290, 9306, 9305,9303, 4150
Hair: 3180, 3150, 3120, 1230
Skin: 4180, 4155, 4115, 4125 plus 5125, 5110

Iris: I choose two colors which I really don't use very often to color: orange and yellow. Just not my fav colors ;-). But I like the rich tones you can get with the Graph'It markers!

Colors used:
Yellow: 1110, 1130, 1180, 1280
Orange: 2130, 2120, 2110, 2105
Blue: 165, 7140, 7150
Teddy: 3255, 3250, 3210, 9400, 4135, 4145
Outline: 9100, 9101
I also used the blender pen and the Mix'It palette

So that's our inspiration from the fabulously talented Graph'It team this week!
You have until Sunday 5th January at noon GMT to enter by adding your creation to Mr Linky below - don't forget you have the chance to win a fabulous prize!

So onto our new challenge!

This week of course it's Anything Goes
but the DT were challenged to ...
Go pink with a pattern

You have until 12noon (GMT) on Sunday 29th December to play along – simply follow the theme and add your challenge entry to Mr Linky at the end of this post. We have one change to our rules - you can only enter a maximum of 3 times to make it fair for everyone! The winner of challenge 26 will be announced here on the GI blog on Friday 3rd January and will win a fantastic goodie bag from Graph'It.

Here are our fabulous DT’s creations …

Simonne ... The Graph'it Marker blender pen is perfect for adding patterns and textures to your colouring. I decided to use this really cute Sew and Sew digital stamp, illustrated by Emma Canning for Polkadoodles, for my card.  I created a polka dot pattern on the pink piece of fabric she is sewing in her machine by using the bullet nib of my blender pen to bleach out little dots of colour:
Graph'it Markers
Skin: 4180 4155 4115 4125 4120  Blush: 4135 4145
Hair: 3250 3245 3210 4110  Skirt: 8220
Pink Fabric: 5230 5130 5120 blender
Sewing Machine: 4110
Shading: 9503 9500 blender

Cara ...This was another "challenging" theme for me but once I had decided which pattern to go for I really enjoyed it and the fabulous Graph'it Blender pen worked so well I might actually try more patterns with it now.  I decided to go for a Plaid pattern, I coloured the whole of the pyjamas in my main pink colour and then "drew" in stripes in both directions with the blender, finally I outlined everything with a fine liner.  Hope you like it!
Graph'it Marker's used:
Skin: 4180, 4155, 4150,4135
Pink: 5230,5210,5120, Blender
Hair, teddy and slippers: 3290, 3280, 3270,3255, 3250, 3245

Debbie ... The Challenge for me with this card was to actually take a decent photo of it (so I apologize now for the rather dull photo). I decided to try a check pattern in my cute Little Mouse's Dungarees by colouring with the pink pen then drawing the check pattern on with the blender pen which then gives you a subtle check pattern.
Graph'it Marker's used:
Mouse: 9303, 9305,9507,4145
5130,5160, Blender pen

Kevin What a great time I have had this week colouring up this image, and I have used my blender to pen to make the polka dot dress and umbrella, the blender is perfect for this as it moves the colour away, so you end up with white dots, why don't you give it a try.

Graph'It Markers used
Fur 9501..1210..5110
Pinks 5115..5120..5150..5160
Basket 1270..1280
And the Blender

Wk 25 - Anything Goes with Background Effects and Mix'It Fluid....

Hi everyone and welcome to a brand new Graph'It Markers challenge!

It's only 12 sleeps until Christmas Day! Woohoo!
Have you put Graph'it Markers on your Christmas List?  We hope so!

Before we get to this week’s theme, we have the winners of Week 23 to announce. Huge thanks to everyone who took part – your creations were beautiful and it was so difficult for the DT to choose their top 3 favourites.

So without further ado, the randomly chosen winner of our Vintage Polka Dots challenge is...
Caroline
Well done Caroline! Please email us here to claim your prize!

And our Top 3 favourites this week are:
#1 Valerie Ward
#3 Lisa S
#6 Sue Bearhouse

Well done everyone!! Don’t forget to grab your blinkies from the sidebar.

So onto our new challenge!

The challenge for all of you at home is
Anything Goes....

But, this week Team A was challenged to ...
Use Mix'it Fluid to create a background

Mix'It fluid is basically the same solution that is in the Graph'It blender pen but because it's a fine mister spray it means you can do some amazingly creative things with it! You can use it just like you would an ink spray but instead of adding colour you can take it away! Imagine the possibilities....it's amazing when used with stamps, masks, a paintbrush, fabric, there really is a multitude of things you can do so make sure you try it out!

If you have the Mix’it Fluid, we’d love you to have a go at making your own background.  Claire has done a fantastic tutorial to show you how easy it is - click HERE or scroll down to take a peek at her post.  For those of you who haven’t bought the Mix’it Fluid yet, your challenge is ...

ANYTHING GOES....

You have until 12noon (GMT) on Sunday 22nd December to play along – simply follow the theme and add your challenge entry to Mr Linky at the end of this post. The winner of challenge 25 will be announced here on the GI blog on Friday 27th December.

And last but by no means least, here are our fabulous DT’s creations …

Claire C ... I've made a background with my Graph'It markers, Mix'It fluid and a stencil, and if you scroll down I've done a quick tutorial on how to do this technique. The image is from the PolkaDoodles CD Angelberry Christmas:

Graph'it Markers used:
Skin: 4170, 4155, 4115, 5115
Clothes: 5130, 5125, 5115 plus cool greys 9104, 9102, 9100
Background: 5160
I've also used 5125 to colour the pearls

Jane: I used 4 different shades of Graph'it Markers to create a snowy sky background for my cute little Polkadoodles snowman. I used the broad nib to draw wide stripes which I blended together and then sprayed with the mix it fluid to create a mottled effect. I then added dots for the snow using the glitter Shake it embossing pen

Graph'it Markers used:
Sky: 7260,7240,7220,7210
Red: 5245, 5220, 5210
Green: 8270, 8260, 8220
Snow: Shake it glitter embossing pen

Iris:  I used four different shades of markers, an acrylic blog and the Mix It fluid to create my background (the teal one right behind the image). With the broad nib I scribbled all four shades onto the acrylic blog, sprayed it with the Mix It fluid and stamped onto white cardstock.

Graph'It Markers used:
Sign: 3120, 3140, 3160, 3190
Snow: 9100, 9101
Scarf & Hat: 7210, 7220, 7240, 7260, 7290
4175, 4135, 4145, 4120,4125
Penguin: 9109, 9107, 9105, 9103, 9101
2105, 2110, 2150
9101, 9100, 7105, 4115,9303
Candy Box: 4150, 4120, 5210, 5220, 5250, 3180
And the blender pen!

So there is our inspiration from the fabulously talented Graph'It team this week!

You have until Sunday 22nd December at noon GMT to enter by adding your creation to Mr Linky below - don't forget you have the chance to win a fabulous prize!

Quick and easy background with Graph'It Markers and Mix It Spray

Hi there, Claire here with a tutorial for a very quick and easy technique. I love this technique as it enables you to create a background to match your project and if you're anything like me for colouring up an image and then finding out you don't have any papers to match its really useful.

You'll need: some white pearl card, stencil, Graph'It marker (I've used 7165) and Mix'It Spray

Firstly colour your pearl card with your marker, I've used one shade of blue but you can play with using different colours too.

Pop your stencil on the coloured card

Give it a good spray with Mix'It fluid

and your background is done, it will take a few seconds for the Mix'It to work and you can vary the amount you use for different effects.

Thanks for visiting today

This week Team B was challenged to ...
Make your own custom colour shade using the Mix’it Palette

This great Palette is a special substrate which enables you to use your Graph'It markers on it and then mix the colours using your blender pen or Mix'It fluid, so you can mix your own colour choices! Woohoo! The great thing is that it's totally reusable so you can just save it forever to be reused or you can wipe it clean with some Mix'it solution if you want to reuse the sheet. There are 3 A4 sheets in each pack and if you want to try it you can get it here and here!

If you have the Mix’it Palette, we’d love for you to have a go too, however, for those of you who haven’t bought the Mix’it Palette yet, our challenge is ...
