This Halloween image is Autumn right? Well it is in my world! I love the tones of the purples and lilac in Graph'It - purples are colours I never ever seem to use in my colouring or crafting so when it gets round to this time of year it makes a nice change for me...
I apologise because I totally forgot to write down the colours I used on this but I know for sure her cloak was done with the Pink Greys!

This is a tough Challenge, but it can also be a lot of fun to make something other than a character the focus of your card. Originally, I was just going to use the Graffiti to make a party invite, but I kind of got carried away and coloured up a whole wall too...
Markers Used...
Wall; 4110, 3210, 3170, 3180, 3190, Whites; 9500, 9100, Turquoise; 7140, 7145, 7160, Yellow; 1150, 1250, Green; 8260, 8270, 7290, Orange; 2150, 2180

Karen
Yes, I also found it a bit of a challenge but fun too, I must have had food on the brain when I was deciding what to do!  I found this yummy Christmas Pudding on the PolkaDoodles 'Here Comes Christmas ' CD.
Graph'It Colours
White - 9100 9101 9501
Pudding 3125 3140 5150 3160
Holly 5245 3170 8270 8280

Suzi
What a fun challenge, I decided to may a boy's card, so used the cute truck digis on the Pretty Tuff CD from Polkadoodles for my bright and cheery card.
Graph'It Colours used;
1170, 1180, 2150, 2160, 5220, 5240, 6110, 6140, 6180, 6190, 7125, 7130, 9103, 9105, 9108.

Claire
This week's theme was defnitely a challenge but I decided to have a go at colouring glass and bottled (ouch bad pun lol) out of colouring the wallpaper through the glass so I tried to add some shadow and  depth around the bottom of the glass to make it look like it was standing well away from the wall.
I used neutral greys for the glass and added a little 7210 for the glass,, I also used the neutral greys for the shadows

So there is our inspiration from the fabulously talented Graph'It team this week!...

You have until  Sunday 29th September at noon GMT to enter below by adding your creation to Mr Linky below - don't forget you have the chance to win a fabulous prize!

Hi Graph'It fans - it's Friday challenge time!

So let's get to the challenge! Last week we challenged you to colour Reds and Greens - but this week we want you to show us your....

Background Effects

You can use ANY brand of alcohol marker to enter our challenges!

Before we get to this week's inspiration and prizes, it's time to announce the winner of last week's challenge. We're so pleased to announce that our Top 2 entries are:
2.  Laine

We loved all your work and congratulations to Lucy who won our fabulous prize of 6 Graph'It Skintones, a Mix'It palette and Mix'It Fluid!! Laine has also won this week and will be receiving a 3pack of Graph'It Romance colours too! Well done! Please email Nikky here to claim your prize and please grab your winners blinkies from the sidebar.

The winner of this week's challenge will win a fantastic prize of 6 Graph'It Xmas Colours - perfect for this time of year!

So let's get to the great team inspiration this week...Remember to join our Facebook group too, Graph'It Markers UK, where we have daily inspiration and share some of our favourite makes & hints and tips every day, it's a great place to be!

I've used an image from the fab Polkadoodles CD 'Here Comes Christmas' , coloured it with my Graph'Its and overlaid it with acetate. My background was actually created on the acetate by colouring with 7130 for the sky and 1280 for the light from the lamp, I sprayed with Mix'It spray to create the snowy effect ... easy!

Colours used:
Greens: 8120, 8110. Red: 3160, 5245, 5220
Blue: 7130,7125,7110,7105. Black: 9909, 9507, 9505, 9503
Skin: 4180, 4155, 4115, 4120

I also used an image from the PolkaDoodles CD 'Here Comes Christmas'. I wanted to create a winter sky so I used 3 different shades 7105 7110 9100 layered over each other and then used my Blender to bring them together and  lighten some areas, really easy and very effective I think!
Hair - 1210 1250 2120
Skin - 4120 4144 4170 5110
Skirt - 9100 9103 9104
Red - 4220 5245 3170
Brown - 9401 9403 9405
Other - 9501 9502

I love this image from the Polkadoodles BonBon Belles CD Rom, it just says summer to me. And, with all of the space around the toadstools and birdhouse, it works really well with the smooshy, dotty background I love to do with Graph'It Markers...
Colours...
 Background: 9100, 9102, 0000
Toadstool Stems: 3210, 4110
Toadstools: 3170, 5240
Birdhouse: 3245, 3250, 3255, 3190
Flowers 1110, 1150, 1250, 6140, 61807130, 7170

The only stamp used on my card is the sentiment, I played with my Graph'It Markers, Mix'It Fluid and a Stencil to create my background effect.
Colours;
5245, 9909 and Mix'It Fluid.

Nikky
I love thinking of different background effects I can do with my Graph'Its but this particular one is a very old favourite of mine...
I used the Premium Art Brands Snowy Cottage and Winter spruce stamps on this and created a sky and snowy scene. The snow is made using Mix'It fluid....this stuff is SO addictive, I find I just sit there trying to think of new ways to use it all the time!
Colours:
sky/blues: 4120, 7220, 7240, 7250, 7260, 7270,
Trees: 7290, 8280, 8260
Windows:1170, 2180

Tutorial... Splodgy, Dotty Background

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here, happy Friday...

I thought I'd share how I create the Splodgy, Dotty Backgrounds I do from time to time, the technique is perfect for the firmer nib you get on a Graph'It Marker. And you may it helpful for our next Challenge, that's all I'm sayin'! ;)

First up, you need to lay down a rough base layer of colour, it really doesn't matter how uneven or rough it is, as we are going over it a few times. I've used 9100 (and 9404, 9406 for the ground):

When your base coat has dried, we are going to start adding dots. Lots and lots of dots. If it sounds like there is a woodpecker in the room with you, you're on the right track:

When that layer has dried, (you can do it when it's wet, your dots will look softer, and you need to work faster, so it depends on the effect you want, really) you do it all over again, to give some depth of colour, closer to the image (I was fast with the camera for this photo, the ink is still very wet!):

And then we go again, but this time with 9102 in the areas that may be a little darker:

One more time, Peeps, but this time, we want to use 0000, to add lighter dots and create texture:

Job done:

Don't forget to pop back later to get all the details of our new Challenge and find out if you're a winner!
