So let's see what the team have made for you this week...
The team were challenged to add sparkle and also use one of these great colour palettes!...
Anjie - The image is from the Work & Play 5 collection, Festive Hollybobs. I have kept it simple by just using an embossed background....
The GI's I have used are:
Skin: 4125, 4150, 3120, 4145
Purples: 6190, 6180, 6140
Greens: 7240, 7220, 7210
Greys: 9104, 9103, 9102

Claire C I love to colour Nikky's gorgeous images so this challenge was a great excuse to colour this beautiful image from Octavia Frosted Winter Collection. Its called Polar Family and you can find it here as a digi or you can get the whole collection here (at a real bargain price too!) I've used the pine cone colour palette but printed it out at work and the colours were totally different as you can see lol

Colours used:
Skin: 3105, 4150, 4125, 4104
Polar Bears: 4105, 4150, 9503, 9501, 9500
Snow: 9205. 9203, 7210 plus Silver Graph'It Shake pen
Sky: 9201, 7250,7240,7220, 7210 plus green greys, Blender Pen, White and Silver Graph'It Shake pens
Clothes: 7280, 7250,7240, 7220,7210 plus green greys for fur
Hair: 3245, 1230, 1210

To create clouds colour a rough cloud shape with your lightest grey (I used the green greys) and then add a bit of depth with a couple of darker greys. Add highlights by dotting a little ink from the White Graph'it Shake pen on my craft mat and dabbing it on with my finger...

Nikky...I had to try and remember the colour palettes from my teeny brain and I completely misinterpreted them but never mind...I wanted to keep the colours on this one really light and soft...
apologies this is completely out of focus but I was really struggling with the light and just after I photographed this I then used it for another project which has changed it completely so I couldn't retake the pic...
Which brings me on to backgrounds...they can completely transform your colouring...this is the same image 30 mins later after I added her to a journal page and used Pan Pastels and stamps to create a background for her...you'd think it was a completely different image but I did nothing whatsoever to the image other than tear it out, glue it down and then sweep colour around it, the image itself is unchanged...
The image is from Polkadoodles Ickyink range available here.
Graph'It colours used:
skin: 4124, 4145 cheeks, 4150, 3105
hair: 7220, neutral grey 2, 4, 6, 8
clothes: 4145, 4135, 4105
Graph'It silver and gold glitter Shake, White Graph'It Shake

Great makes from the team!
We'll be back next week with last time's winners and we look forward to seeing all your Christmas creations!

So let's see what the team have made for you this week...
The team were challenged to add sparkle and also use one of these great colour palettes!...

Scatty Jan   Wooohooooo am not normally here on Team A but so glad I joined in this week as I loved the colour Palettes and of course the scrummy image that I got to colour in Kids build snowman You can find the image here Total cuteness - I went for the more turquoisey/beigy palette. How much fun are they having? Rosy cheeks was a must!

The Colours I used
Skin 3120, 4135,4145, 4125, 4150
Snowman 9100 - 9104 Blender
Blues 7140, 7150, 7145, 7155
Browns 3210, 3245, 3250
Silver Shake'It

Claire C  I've coloured this fabulous quirky little scene, it's called Christmas Town and you can find it here. I kind of lost the plot a bit with my colour swatch although I did use the colours I had to add some yellow as I was playing with a my White Shake pen to create a glow round the lights and the smoke effect - I just blobbed on a good bit of ink and used my finger to smudge it. I left it white for the smoke but went over in yellow around the lights....
Here's a list of the colours used:
Sky 6190,6185,7180,7170,7165,7150,7140, Mix'It Fluid plus White and Silver Shake pens
Other Colours used: 8270,8245, 5160,5220,  1140, 1110, 9500, 9501, 9502, 4150, 4155.

I used texture paste to add some 'snow' and then used my Silver Sparkle pen with a waterbrush to add a frosty shimmer although it doesn't show up too well on the photo

Nikky...Well as usual it's disorganised.com for me but I had this palette stored in my virtual mind when I cane to colour up this stunning image from our sponsors which you can get HERE....
I'm really struggling with some bad neck, shoulder and back pain at the moment (yes, caused by way too much colouring, surprise surprise!), so I'm trying to restrict myself to only colouring for an hour, I honestly can't take much more but man o man it makes you stop faffing about and just get on with it LOL...I think this was actually 1.5hrs in the end if i'm truthful and I'd have liked to spend more time on the shading really, I didnt get so much light and shade on Santa as I'd have normally done. But I really thought the richness of this colour palette worked for this image and it's nice to see Santa dressed a bit different - after all he kinda looks like a steampunk Santa lol!....I wanted it to look like he was taking a break so I added lots of snow onto him where it had begun to settle (I think I went a little OTT in the end haha)...and then I realised I didnt do any sparkles but my idea was the snow was sparkling on the rooftop LOL *wink wink*....
Colours I used:
Skin: 4105, 4125, 4150, 3105
Hat/Leggings - greens 3150, 3160, 3180
Coat: 7155, 7165, 7180, 7280, 6155
Reds: 5240, 2170, 6155
Sky: 6155, 6160 plus dots made with blender pen
Snow roof: 4110, 7105, 7220
Snow: Graph'It Shake white marker

More great makes from the team!

So let's see what the team have made for you this week...
The team were challenged to add sparkle and also use one of these great colour palettes!...

Scatty Jan The other day my Granddaughter got her first kitty - she has always been cat mad , when I was chatting to her  I asked her what she wanted for christmas - her reply * Anything Grandma your presents are always lovely but my cat would like , toys, some nice biscuits the list went on* - as soon as i got my lovely image from Digital Delights I knew I had to do it in the colours of her cat and made a gift tag for her Christmas treats! My lovely image is Chimney Cat how cute !!  I actually used a fine liner in my darkest Grey , I don't use them very often but am getting used to them. Fot the white background I used a dotty embossing folder and then coloured in the dots using my Silver Shake'it It love the effect soooooo sparkly in real life....

The Colours i used are
Cool Greys 9201 - 9204
Greens 8160 8180 8190
Reds 3180 5245 5210 5220
White Shake'It marker
Gold/ Silver Shake'It markers

Cara  For my image this week I decided to go with the darker colour palette as gingerbread biscuits at Christmas make me think of warm cosy nights drinking hot chocolate! The image is called Candy Wreath Natasha.  I added gold shake marker to the image and all of the edges of my papers and even the flowers, you've got to have sparkle at Christmas and the shake markers are perfect!
Colour's used:
Brown: 3250,3245,3210
Red: 5260, 5250, 5220
Green: 8290, 8280, 8260
White and shadows: Neutral greys

Nikky...I started using the left hand colour palette but in the end I think I covered both, purely by accident LOL. I wish I could plan my colouring better but I just go with the flow and I dont always end up with where I meant to finish off.
My aim with this was to  do a glitter effect without actually using a glitter product so I hope I achieved it, I just literally used red and green markers to create dots then applied my white Graphit Shake to highlight more dots and sparkles. I have to confess that the dark background was actually added with Pan Pastels as it was an afterthought just to give me a bit of a glow...

Colours used: Mouse - 4120, 4145 & 4125 for cheeks and skin and nose, 7101, 7109 for shade
Red 5240, Green 8180, Hat = 8150, 8160, 8180
7101, 7109, 9504
2180 Mimosa for the middle of the sparkles
Graph'it shake white marker

Kevin I enjoyed colouring this sweet fun image and tried to make it look as if he was sitting in a wooden bucket of sweets...
Graph'It markers used
Mouse 1270.1280.4115,4147.4180
Hat 8280.8290
Sweets 5240.5280 silver shaker pen
Wooden Bowl 1280.3110.3125 Silver shaker pen.

Great makes from the team!
We'll be back next week with last time's winners and we look forward to seeing all your sparkly creations!
