We have some exciting news this week - we are delighted to welcome Susan Imeson to the Graph'It Design Team...Susan makes the most gorgeous cards and we're so thrilled she's joined us to play!

You can get some fabulous tones using Browns and within the Graph'It collection there is a fantastic array of chocolatey colours which we all use constantly....We'd love you to try this challenge too!

Simonne ... The Graph'it Marker blender pen is perfect for adding patterns and textures to your colouring. I decided to use this really cute Sew and Sew digital stamp, illustrated by Emma Canning for Polkadoodles, for my card.  I created a polka dot pattern on the pink piece of fabric she is sewing in her machine by using the bullet nib of my blender pen to bleach out little dots of colour:

Cara ...This was another "challenging" theme for me but once I had decided which pattern to go for I really enjoyed it and the fabulous Graph'it Blender pen worked so well I might actually try more patterns with it now.  I decided to go for a Plaid pattern, I coloured the whole of the pyjamas in my main pink colour and then "drew" in stripes in both directions with the blender, finally I outlined everything with a fine liner.  Hope you like it!

Debbie ... The Challenge for me with this card was to actually take a decent photo of it (so I apologize now for the rather dull photo). I decided to try a check pattern in my cute Little Mouse's Dungarees by colouring with the pink pen then drawing the check pattern on with the blender pen which then gives you a subtle check pattern.

Kevin What a great time I have had this week colouring up this image, and I have used my blender to pen to make the polka dot dress and umbrella, the blender is perfect for this as it moves the colour away, so you end up with white dots, why don't you give it a try.

Wk 20 Furry Friends

Debbie ... Today is my first challenge here on the blog and I'm over the moon to be joining the Amazing Graph'It Marker DT, For my card today I have coloured the cute little lamb with curly fur.

Cara ... When I colour fur I use my markers to create little dots to give texture and to blend the colours. I used my pink grey's to colour this cute little fuzzy owl. I also used the gorgeous new Graph'It Shake Glitter pens to colour my die-cuts and add a little sparkle!

Simonne ... I am trying to make a dent in the huge pile of Christmas cards I need to make this year, so I inked up this cute Christmas Mouse for my furry friends challenge card this week.  I used the Neutral greys to colour him and used my white opaque pen to add some highlights to the fur.

We love Friday's - because it's Graph'It Challenge Day!! Woohoo!

...we are looking for someone who ADORES colouring with alcohol markers to join our fantastic Design Team! So if you are a colouring geek like the rest of us here then please email us to apply. You MUST have an active blog and be able to commit to one project a week plus a tutorial each month. We don't care what brand of marker you currently use as we know that you will LOVE using Graph'It once you try them, we just need someone who loves colouring and is able to meet the commitment which will be a minimum of 4 months term. Closing date is 12th October so don't miss this - we have a great team and you will love to be part of it! Send us your blog link and a short bio about yourself and why you'd like to be on the team and why we should pick you.

We also have some FANTASTIC NEWS on Graph'It this week - there are now 7 BRAND NEW and AMAZING NEW COLOURS to collect - YAYY!! 

We are so excited about this as we are all craving new colours all the time!! The new shades just slot into the existing range perfectly and are bang on trend to take us into 2014, make sure you get yours now, they are fantastic. 

Also, don't forget that there are now INTERCHANGEABLE BRUSH NIBS - simply pull out the chisel tip and swap for a Brush nib to give you an additional option with your marker! If you want to save your chisel nibs just place it into a sealable container to be reused again later! In addition there are also replacement Fine and Chisel nibs too, so you don't need to replace your entire pen if you're heavy handed with your colouring and wear out your nibs quickly!

Restricting the number of colours you use is a really great way of practising your techniques - it takes away the drama of colour choice and helps to concentrate on how you use the pens themselves to blend and shade so if you have never limited yourself this way it's a really liberating way to colour, so we hope you join in this week! Cara ... I had the most fun colouring this image ... sometimes its a great way to practice when you limit the colour choice you have. I only have the full collection of the Cool Greys which have a lovely blue tint to them so I decided to give my image an "Avatar" look!....

I love using Greys and the Pink and Green Greys are just fantastic, they give a whole new look to your work. Here I used ALL the Green Greys to create this little snowy scene....

...and then spritzed over the whole thing with Mix'It Fluid. I love how you get completely random patterns for the snowflakes. I actually didnt spray properly when I did it so I got these massive big dots of Mix'It which kind of halo'd on the card, but I just took my Blender and then moved it around in circles to define the snowflakes even more. I kind of like the Halo, I think it adds more definition in a way, and the fact they are transparent with some of the image showing through makes them look even more realistic I think.

Although my family don't celebrate Halloween as a holiday, I absolutely LOVE to make Halloween themed projects!!  So even though it's not my week to post here on the GI blog (I'm part of Team B!), I couldn't resist sneaking in a spooky creation, hehe!  To create an undead feel to her skin, I coloured her entire face with a layer of 9500 before going over it with 4110.  Then I added shading and detail with the other colours listed below:

I love Autumn and all the beautiful rich colours you see at this time of year!  For my card I used this adorable owl image from the Bonbon Belles CDrom from Polkadoodles.  The backing papers are also from the CD too!

Simonne ... You may remember that I did a red hair colouring tutorial a few weeks ago? Well, I finished colouring the image I used for the tutorial and used it for today's challenge card.  Autumn to me is browns, oranges, golds, pinks and reds!

This Halloween image is Autumn right? Well it is in my world! I love the tones of the purples and lilac in Graph'It - purples are colours I never ever seem to use in my colouring or crafting so when it gets round to this time of year it makes a nice change for me...

I apologise because I totally forgot to write down the colours I used on this but I know for sure her cloak was done with the Pink Greys!
