Christmas Sparkle

You can interpret this challenge as you like - we have some colour palettes below for inspiration but basically any Christmas make with a little sparkle can be entered!

You can enter ANY kind of make you like, whatever colours you like and your project can be anything you want, it's up to you.

Scatty Jan The other day my Granddaughter got her first kitty - she has always been cat mad , when I was chatting to her  I asked her what she wanted for christmas - her reply * Anything Grandma your presents are always lovely but my cat would like , toys, some nice biscuits the list went on* - as soon as i got my lovely image from Digital Delights I knew I had to do it in the colours of her cat and made a gift tag for her Christmas treats! My lovely image is Chimney Cat how cute !!  I actually used a fine liner in my darkest Grey , I don't use them very often but am getting used to them. Fot the white background I used a dotty embossing folder and then coloured in the dots using my Silver Shake'it It love the effect soooooo sparkly in real life....

The Colours i used are

Cara  For my image this week I decided to go with the darker colour palette as gingerbread biscuits at Christmas make me think of warm cosy nights drinking hot chocolate! The image is called Candy Wreath Natasha.  I added gold shake marker to the image and all of the edges of my papers and even the flowers, you've got to have sparkle at Christmas and the shake markers are perfect!

Colour's used:

Brown: 3250,3245,3210

Red: 5260, 5250, 5220

Green: 8290, 8280, 8260

White and shadows: Neutral greys

Nikky...I started using the left hand colour palette but in the end I think I covered both, purely by accident LOL. I wish I could plan my colouring better but I just go with the flow and I dont always end up with where I meant to finish off.

My aim with this was to  do a glitter effect without actually using a glitter product so I hope I achieved it, I just literally used red and green markers to create dots then applied my white Graphit Shake to highlight more dots and sparkles. I have to confess that the dark background was actually added with Pan Pastels as it was an afterthought just to give me a bit of a glow...

Colours used: Mouse - 4120, 4145 & 4125 for cheeks and skin and nose, 7101, 7109 for shade

Red 5240, Green 8180, Hat = 8150, 8160, 8180

Scatty I loved colouring up my image this week , How cute and a perfect start to my Christmas cards. The image is from our lovely sponsors The Stamping Boutique and is called Happy, happy snowman , you can find him in the store right here . I loved the palettes this week they really inspired me to use lots of gold and silver and admittingly using my Graph'it shake markers really properly for the first time together. I adored using them , but had to take a sideways photo so you could see them in all their glory...

I have also taken a sideways photograph as glitter is definitely camera shy!...

Nikky...I love Oddball Art images. I have to be honest and admit that I forgot what the colour palette was meant to be this week but I had a massive booboo when I coloured these images. I decided to do a funky background but forgot to mask my images off and sprayed Mix'It solution over the entire piece - eeek! It was like a scene from Chucky with all that bleeding everywhere! I was distraught I can tell you! But when I looked it was worse around the outer edges really so I decided to cut the images and then decoupage them rather than start from scratch. 

So in the end I coloured a background onto a card front using 7250 and then sprayed with Mix'It to create snow. I then went a bit berserk with my Graph'It Shake White swoonable pen to create a flurry of snow. 

I need to point you in the direction of the top and bottom edges of my card - see all the glittery stuff? This is SO cool!

Hair (left) Grey greens and Blue Greys 

Teal Blue background: 7240 and 7250, White Graph'It Shake

Anjie -   I have used Christmas colours for my make.

The cute image from Oddball Art and is called Sherry Rescues a Puppy. I coloured the image and then coloured a background which was a total fail so I fussy cut the images out to add to a new background! More info on my blog.

I'm soooooooo enjoying making backgrounds with my Graph'Its, this was made by just scribbling my markers onto the background not worrying too much about blending and then dripping on Mix'It Fluid using the end of the spray tube from the bottle. The White Graph'It Shake pen is perfect for adding snow and the Silver Shake pen gives a little frosty sparkle

Yvonne - Hello there! I was given Polka Dot Pals Rosie to play with and she was sooooooo cute! Despite the challenge being Autumn/Christmas colours, I thought she would look nice in a summery setting. So I decided to place her on a wall/dyke.
